BioWound Solutions specialises in products for the treatment of chronic and complex wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, venous and vascular ulcers, surgical wounds, burns and other hard-to-heal wounds. Its portfolio includes biological wound care matrices, skin substitutes, collagen- and keratin-based technologies, advanced dressings, antimicrobial products and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT). In the US wound care market, BioWound Solutions stands out by focusing on advanced and biological wound care technologies, rather than merely being a traditional dressing manufacturer. BioWound Solutions is launching EmoLED on the US market as an innovative Class II medical device, authorised by the FDA under the 510(k) regulation. The current FDA indication covers the treatment of dermatological conditions and, specifically, the treatment of moderate inflammatory acne vulgaris.
