Published case studies of recalcitrant ulcers in diabetic patients treated with Blue Light.

Published in the Wound International journal the article “Clinical application of photobiomodulation with blue light on non-healing ulcers in diabatic patients: a case series study”. The authors –  Dr Maria Stella Aliquò and others,  Department of Internal Medicine, Hospital Trust ARNAS Civico, Di Cristina, Benfratelli, Palermo (Italy) – report of diabetic patients with ulcers in the lower limbs not responding to standard treatments that were treated with Blue LED Light as adjuvant therapy.  Blue light therapy significantly improved reepithelialization in all the 11 patients studied, the majority showing a complete healing, and it allowed preparation of the wound bed for tissue replacement in three cases observed.
