Blue Light: an alternative approach for treatment of vascular ulcers

Blue Light therapy represents an innovative, non-invasive and easily reproducible option, improving cellular and biochemical level in the wound bed, with the aim of restarting the healing process of a chronic wound, as reported by Morgante and Li Destri in the article “Blue light therapy. An alternative approach for treatment of vascular skin ulcers” published in the Annali Italiani di Chirurgia. The article reports the clinical cases of two patients with a venous and an arterial vascular ulcer respectively, who were successfully treated with Blue Light as a therapeutic strategy to unblock the repair process.
