EmoLED is an Italian company that develops highly innovative medical devices, the result of advanced research in the field of photonics.

The company was founded in 2016 to bring to the market the first medical device for Photobiomodulation with blue light as a therapy for skin lesions. The EmoLED medical device is the result of a collaboration with leading Italian research centres, such as the European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy (LENS) and the Institute of Applied Physics, National Research Council (IFAC-CNR). It uses the most advanced technologies and is covered by an international patent.

Quality without compromise is what drives the company’s decisions in the product development process and in the design of the accompanying services. EmoLED is UNI CEI EN ISO 13485:2016 certified.

Emoled is partner of the HyperProbe consortium whose aim, by 2027, is to develop a new advanced multifunctional hyperspectral imaging system to provide neurosurgeons with real-time neuro-navigation during brain tumor surgery. The HyperProbe project receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme (grant agreement No 101071040).
