Su Wounds Asia pubblicati casi di ulcere del piede diabetico trattati con Luce Blu

In the article “Effects of Photobiomodulation with Blue Light on Diabetic Foot Ulcers: A Case Series Report” published on the Wound Asia journal, Professor Harikrishna KR Nair and Mohd Arif Akmal Bin Mohd Sulong – Wound Care Unit, Kuala Lumpur Hospital  – report their clinical observations made on five patients with diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). The patients were treated with Blue Light twice a week for 120 seconds, in addition to the standard therapy. In a maximum treatment period of ten weeks two patients out of five achieved complete healing and other two patients showed an important wound size reduction (≥ 90%). According to this authors’ preliminary experience Blue LED Light is a promising adjuvant therapy for promoting wound healing in patients with DFUs.
